After a couple of pictures at the beautiful Grand Canyon, it was time for us to move on. It was really hot at the time so we rushed to the car and headed to Utah.
We booked a room at Red Cliffs Lodge (http://www.redcliffslodge.com/). The woman who we talked to during the reservation phone call warned us about being off the map. Yep, the place isn't in our Garmin. Fortunately, we were given pretty clear directions, although we had no idea what the roads would be like.
The first couple of hours were just red deserts.
We drove for a while to see more red deserts plus traffic.
Ok, this is pretty boring, but we couldn't complain much when we're in the middle of nowhere.
After a long desert ride, we reached a city I think was called Moab. It was dark already (drats) but we kind of had a sense that we were on a narrow road between a river and a cliff. Since the lodge is not on our GPS, we really needed to pay attention to the signs. We drove on that road pretty long that we actually thought we were heading the wrong way.
And finally, we saw the Red Cliffs Lodge sign. We checked-in an got to our room. It was definitely impressive.
There was a separated dining area as well.
At this point, nothing was more suitable than to treat ourselves with instant noodles.
Then we went to bed...
The next day we woke up and was awed by the huge cliffs next to our room.
Not to mention the river we drove along the night before.
Too bad we didn't have time for the pool, but the whole experience was definitely breathtaking.
Our next stop was Denver, Colorado. See you again.
